Scott Deshaies Joins WGTECH as Senior Systems Engineer

At WGTECH, we are very proud of our team’s deep technical knowledge. We’re excited to announce that Scott Deshaies is now working with customers to design, support, and install servers, storage, networks, backup, and security solutions. He joins us from technical roles at MEMIC and Central Maine Medical Center, and brings 25 years of experience in network engineering, systems, and security.

“I enjoy solving business problems through the use of information technology, and building fault-tolerant networks for companies where downtime is not an option,” says Scott. “I’m excited about the opportunities I’ll have through WGTECH as the company is really focused on being a trusted resource and partner with their customers.”

Scott’s strengths include virtualization, databases, firewalls, and voice-over-IP systems, and has experience with Cisco, Microsoft, and VMWare solutions. “WGTECH has a great reputation as an advanced business partner, so this role is a perfect fit for me,” says Scott. “This is something I love to do, and now I get to do more of it.

When Scott isn’t immersed in IT, he enjoys cycling and hiking with his wife and four children. In addition to being the Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 116 in Lewiston, Scott is an adjunct professor at Central Maine Community College and serves on its Advisory Board for the Computer Technology Program. Scott has a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology degree and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix
